Gaming Alliance Roleplay Server Rules

We acknowledge that this is a role-playing game set in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and we expect players to immerse themselves in the city. While we understand that this is a game, we kindly request that you consider the setting when engaging in role-play. Unlike some gaming environments, where constant robberies and violence are the norm, we encourage players to utilize dialogue and communication to resolve conflicts. This is a role-playing experience, not a simulation of GTA Online. Violating these rules may result in verbal warnings, strikes, temporary bans, or permanent bans from the game.

1.0 General Respect

Respectful Language: Please maintain a respectful and considerate tone in all your interactions. Avoid using any form of discriminatory language, hate speech, bullying,. suicide or sexually suggestive/violent roleplay or offensive remarks. Bullying, harassment, and any inappropriate content will not be tolerated.

Conduct Within the Community: Uphold a respectful manner when interacting with fellow community members, both within and outside the server. Any abusive behavior in Discord direct messages that originates from interactions within the server may result in disciplinary action.

Respect for Privacy: Do not share another person's private information, and respect the privacy of all community members. It is strictly prohibited to share real-life names or pictures of anyone without their explicit consent. Violating this rule may result in a ban.

Accountability: Please be aware that Dusk Roleplay is not responsible for your individual actions towards other players or within the community. Each member is expected to uphold these guidelines and take responsibility for their own behavior.

If you are deemed unfit to be a part of the Gaming Alliance community, The Staff Team has full authority to remove you from the community.

1.1 Communication

In order to participate in Gaming Alliance Roleplay Server, it is required that you have a functional microphone for communication purposes. All forms of communication, including voice chat, Twitter, and Discord, must be in English. Do not use voice changers in a manner that doesn't make sense (using a robot voice, changing a character voice from one instance to another, using voices that can’t be understood). A certain level of mental maturity and common sense is expected.

1.2 Cross Charactering

Cross Charactering is prohibited, Cross Charactering is bringing information across from one character to another. This may include: People, Secret Locations or Gangs. You are an entirely different person, keep your knowledge separate too. Character Sharing (using the knowledge or transferring items from one of your characters to another).

1.3 Random Death Match (RDM)

Randomly attacking or killing other players without a valid in-game reason or proper roleplay context is strictly prohibited. Please ensure that your actions in the game contribute to an immersive and enjoyable experience for all participants. Violation of this rule may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, as determined by the staff team.

1.4 Vehicle DeathMatch (VDM)

Engaging in vehicle-related violence, such as intentionally running over other players without a valid in-game reason or proper roleplay context, is strictly prohibited. It is essential to prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all participants in the game. Violation of this rule may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, as determined by the staff team.

1.5 Not Valuing Life (NVL)

Acting in a way that disregards the value of your character's life, such as intentionally engaging in risky or reckless actions without a valid in-game reason or proper roleplay context, is strictly prohibited. It is essential to uphold a realistic and immersive roleplay environment where characters' lives are valued.

1.6 MetaGaming

Metagaming, which involves using out-of-game information or knowledge to influence in-game decisions, is strictly prohibited. Players are expected to separate their real-world knowledge from their in-game character's knowledge. Avoid using information that your character wouldn't realistically possess. Violation of this rule may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, as determined by the server administrators. Upholding a fair and immersive roleplay experience is our priority.

1.7 PowerGaming

Powergaming, which involves forcing actions upon other players or creating unrealistic and unfair scenarios, is strictly prohibited. All interactions and roleplay should be conducted with fairness and consideration for the roleplay experience of all players involved. Avoid making decisions that undermine the roleplay quality for others.

1.8 FailRP

FailRP refers to engaging in actions or behaviors that are inconsistent with the roleplay context or the character's established role. Players are expected to stay in-character and adhere to the server's roleplay guidelines. Avoid situations that disrupt the immersive roleplay experience.

1.9 Breaking Character

Breaking Character, which involves behaving in a manner inconsistent with your in-game role or the established roleplay context, is strictly prohibited. Players are expected to remain in-character and uphold the immersive roleplay experience for themselves and others. Avoid actions or comments that disrupt the roleplay flow.

1.10 OOC Talking

Engaging in OOC (Out of Character) talking, where you communicate with others using real-world information or discussions unrelated to the in-game context, is restricted to designated OOC channels or moments. To enhance immersion, refrain from OOC conversations during active roleplay situations.

1.11 Combat Logging

Combat Logging, which involves abruptly disconnecting from the game during an active combat situation or a roleplay scenario, is strictly prohibited. It disrupts the gameplay experience and is considered unfair to other players involved. If you find yourself in a combat situation or roleplay interaction, you are expected to stay connected until it is reasonably resolved.

1.12 New Life Rule

The New Life Rule (NLR) is in effect on this server. When your character dies or is involved in a significant in-game event, you must adhere to the NLR guidelines. This means:

Memory Reset: Your character's memory of the events leading up to their death or the event is considered reset. You should not use any information gained from your previous life to your advantage in the current roleplay scenario.

Return Delay: After your character's death or significant event, allow a reasonable amount of time before returning to the same area or engaging with the same characters involved in the previous situation. This delay helps maintain an immersive roleplay experience.

Violation of the New Life Rule may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, as determined by the server administrators. We emphasize the importance of fair and immersive roleplay, and the NLR helps maintain a balanced and enjoyable gaming environment for all participants.

1.13 Advertising & Poaching

Advertising, which involves promoting external services, websites, communities, or servers unrelated to the current gaming environment, is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from sharing any links or information that could divert players' attention away from our community.

Poaching, which involves actively recruiting players from our server for another gaming community or server, is also strictly prohibited. We value our player base and wish to maintain a positive and supportive gaming environment. Players caught doing so will be banned.

1.14 Toxicity & Harassment

Toxic behavior, which includes any actions or comments that create a negative or hostile atmosphere, is strictly prohibited. This encompasses offensive language, insults, trolling, or any form of disruptive behavior that hinders the enjoyment of the game for others. We encourage a friendly and respectful gaming environment.

Harassment of any kind, whether it's directed at other players based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, or for any other reason, will not be tolerated. Harassment includes persistent, unwanted, or harmful behavior, and it goes against the

principles of respect and inclusivity that we uphold in our community.

1.15 Staff Respect

Respect for server staff members is essential at all times. Staff members dedicate their time and effort to ensure a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone. Treat them with courtesy and follow their instructions promptly and respectfully.

Disruptive or disrespectful behavior towards staff members, including arguing, insulting, or undermining their authority, is strictly prohibited. If you have concerns or issues, please address them in a polite and constructive manner through appropriate channels, such as the server's designated support or feedback channels.

Violation of the Staff Respect rule may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, as determined by the server administrators. We value the commitment of our staff and their contributions to the community, and your cooperation in respecting them is essential for a harmonious gaming environment.

1.16 Sensitive Roleplay

Sensitive Roleplay situations may arise in our gaming environment, which could include themes such as violence, trauma, or other emotionally challenging content. When engaging in such roleplay, it is crucial to approach it with care, consideration, and respect for all participants.

Consent: Obtain explicit consent from all involved parties before engaging in sensitive roleplay scenarios. Ensure that all participants are comfortable with the chosen storyline or themes.

Limits: Be aware of your own and others' limits when it comes to sensitive content. Respect any boundaries or restrictions set by participants during roleplay.

Realism: Maintain a realistic and immersive roleplay experience, but always prioritize the well-being and comfort of all players involved.

Violation of the Sensitive Roleplay rule, including engaging in sensitive roleplay without proper consent or disregarding the emotional well-being of others, may result in disciplinary actions. We aim to provide an inclusive and respectful roleplay environment for all members of our community.

1.17 Exploiting

Exploiting refers to the use of unintended glitches, loopholes, or cheats to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the normal functioning of the game. Exploiting undermines the integrity of the gaming experience and is strictly prohibited.

1.18 Cheating

Use of any cheat software (Eulen, REDengine, ETC) is not tolerated in city, if found using any form of cheats you will be permanently banned with no appeal.

2.0 GTA Driving

Driving on terrain unsuitable for that vehicle, using jumps, driving at clearly excessive speeds through the city for no good reason etc.

2.1 Baiting

Baiting, which involves provoking or manipulating other players into rule violations or undesirable situations, is strictly prohibited. We expect all players to engage in fair and respectful interactions with one another.

Examples of baiting include intentionally trying to get another player to use inappropriate language, break rules, or engage in disruptive behavior. Such actions disrupt the gaming experience and are not tolerated.

2.2 Server Resets (Tsunami)

Server resets are scheduled maintenance or restarts conducted by server administrators to ensure smooth performance and address technical issues. It is imperative for all players to comply with the following guidelines regarding server resets:

Preparation: If possible, prepare for the reset by safely storing valuable items, completing ongoing roleplay scenarios, or saving progress within the limits of the game's mechanics.items lost will not be compensated

Compliance: During a server restart, comply with any instructions provided by the server administrators. Avoid engaging in any actions that may interfere with the reset process.

Patience: Be patient and understanding, as server restarts are necessary for maintaining a stable gaming environment.

2.3 Corruption

Corruption roleplay for any government-run political, medical, and law enforcement positions is not allowed. Period. If you are found breaking this rule you will be blacklisted from all government positions.

2.4 Rules Of Engagement

You may not shoot to kill or harm unless you have given a fair warning to the other party. Fair warning can be in the verbal form, warning shots are NOT proper initiation. As the initiating party, it is your responsibility to make sure that your voice can be heard. Shooting someone from afar because they were aggressive or hostile toward you earlier does not constitute initiation. You must re-initiate any hostile engagements. The only time you are allowed to engage in combat from far away is when involved parties have been informed there are marksmen. Even if you have marksmen you must still value your life.

2.5 Killing Players & Hostage Taking

Do not keep a body as a hostage. Killing someone means the RP is over, move on. They have no way of roleplaying with you at that point. You must have a reason to kidnap another player. [Ex: You may kidnap a player to use them as a hostage during a robbery, you may not kidnap someone and just cruise around the map because you’re lonely]. You may not use your friends or locals (NPC) as a hostage.

2.6 No Clip No Refund

Staff are aware that bugs may occur and players may lose items, unfortunately, if clips cannot be provided, your items will not be reimbursed, if you do not have a clipping software we suggest Nvidia Shadowplay for Nvidia GPU users or MedalTV.

2.7 Criminal Activities

If your hostage is compliant or you plan on torture, do not just kill them. You can not go on continuously robbing the same people within a short time span.

You must give the intended target indication that you are intending on robbing them and a chance to respond, you cannot just say "this a robbery" and use /rob them 1 second later.

They should be given an opportunity to surrender their goods or forfeit their lives in accordance with ‘No Value of Life’.

Individuals, parties, groups, and gangs are not to do the same robbery more than once every hour. This means you, as an individual, may only partake in each individual robbery location once every hour. If the group of people you are currently with decides to rob a bank you have already robbed, you must excuse yourself from that robbery.

Do not try to circumvent the previous rule by rotating who initiates the robbery within your group. If a robbery is done in a group, only one person may start the robbery. If you initiate a bank robbery you must remain within the confines of the bank.
